Apparently London weather is not ideal for wearing sandals and cardigans year-round. This concept is foreign to me. Thus, I’m going shopping for fall/winter clothes…in July…in Southern California. This might be a challenge.
For the 4th, we had some people over for a small bbq/potluck and watched the fireworks from my backyard. We also watched Wipeout, which we all agreed was the most patriotic thing to do on our nation’s birthday. Nothing says America like watching people fall off a giant obstacle course for money.

Goodbye, Grassroots Campaigns! I will miss your fun meetings and awesome people. However, I will not miss the crazies I encountered (religious fanatics, middle-aged creepers, etc), being ignored for 8 hours a day, or stressing about meeting quota. it’s been real, but I’m moving on. Next week, I’ll be working as a research assistant for my favorite professor. should be interesting...
first day on the job
I just got a job canvassing for Equality California. It’s a good thing I really care about the cause and that the people I work with are cool, because it’s already exhausting. oh yeah, and the making money part is kind of essential too.

I’m seeing best coast/health/indian jewelry/gold panda at the echoplex on tuesday with ryan! sadly, it’s the first show I’m going to so far this summer & the only one I have planned right now. I need a job for realz.
